The federal government of United States of America was established by its constitutions. The politics in America is largely dominated by two political parties namely, the Republicans and the Democrats. However, other political parties also exist.
America’s founding fathers hated the very concept of having political parties. They believed that contestants would be more interested in contending against each other rather than working for the welfare of the country.
The political parties in the United States are much more individualistic than in any other political system like parliamentary system.
Ever since the beginning of 20th century, the political philosophy of the two major parties underwent a dramatic shift. The reason for this change, many people believe is due to the leadership during this period. The Republican Party is considered as more liberal whereas the Democratic Party is considered as more conservative of the two.
