When the founders of United States of America wrote down their constitution way back in 1787, they never imagined that various political parties would play a huge role in running the government. This implies that whichever person receives the greatest number of votes in any voting district is elected. Unlike the promotional system, this system allows only one party to win from a single district. Support for the political parties in United States is based broadly and is outclassed.
